Bungalow Clothing Box: Just Plain Frumpy (like my husband's old t-shirts)

Hi!  So I was excited to try a Bungalow box despite reading the mixed reviews.  In case you aren't following the subscription box FB threads, Bungalow accidentally forwarded an email to a customer indicating that the customer wasn't worth the trouble and didn't fit with their spending habits, home value etc... (I'm summarizing here).  Needless to say, there was a lot of controversy surrounding that and I was skeptical to try Bungalow but ordered my first box anyway.  I was hoping for stylish casual to wear when playing chauffeur to the kids.  However what I ended up getting was a bunch of baggy t-shirts (they sent me a size too big).  These shirts seriously looked like my husband took one of his old t-shirts and cut the sleeves off.  They did not scream "stylish SAHM" by any means.  And I can't forget the elastic shorts that we like my husband's boxer shorts.  Here's a few pics of the t-shirts and "boxer" shorts:

I also received a pair of white skinny jeans that wouldn't button (even though they were my usual size) and a pair of camo capris (camo seriously??).  The turquoise top had potential, except they sent me a size M when I indicated that I wear a small.  The all over floral romper was just terrible.  There are no words.  See some more pics below:

And last but not least, there was a black dressy tank with white split back.  It was ok and I probably would have kept except it was a little pricey at $98 for the material.

Overall, I was NOT impressed with the styling.  I won't be requesting another box, but will be sticking with FDF and Stitch Fix for now.

  1. Thanks for this post!
How funny to have found this.
They wouldn't work with me and said that we were not the right fit.
The " accident" email that you are referring to totally makes sense now.
    Thanks for sharing your review!
